Where in DC hasn't history been made?

Yesterday, for the 4th of July, I went out into the City, and spent a lot of time just walking around between stops for barbecues, fireworks, and bars. At one point I was walking by this hotel, and made the offhand comment that it looked like the Watergate office building. While I was saying this I thought, "I'm in Washington, DC, and this actually could be the Watergate." The friend I was with said no, that it wasn't. In an afterthought he told me that it was actually the hotel Reagan was shot at. Works for me!
